It is important that you under side the types of coating before we continue.

• CB = Image will transfer to a CFB or CF

• CFB = Image will be received from a CB or CFB sheet and will transfer to a CFB or CF.

• CF = Image will be received from a CB or CFB sheet.

There is no visible way to check a CB or CF, but a CFB sheet will always have a slight blue haze on the print side edge of all four sides. Use one of these sheets as your tester.

• If you find no blue haze, the sheet must be;

  • CB

  • CF

  • Not carbonless
    

• Using the CFB sheet, place it on top of the sheet you want to test. Take a pen and create an image on the CFB sheet. If you find the same image on the sheet below that you are testing, it is CF.
  

• Using the CFB sheet, place it under the sheet you want to test. Take a pen and create an image on the top sheet. If you find the same image on the CFB sheet you are testing, it is CB.
  

• If no image is found, it is not carbonless.
